Dental Work in Colombia vs the U.S.: Prices Compared
Updated October 2026.
Hello! I’m Dr. Verónica Rodríguez. Many patients ask me how much they really save by coming to Bogotá. Here I compare my prices with the average prices in the United States, with the source of each number, so you can decide with real data.
Prices compared: my practice in Bogotá vs the U.S. average
| Treatment | U.S. average | My price in Bogotá | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teeth whitening, in-office | US$605 | US$383 (2 sessions) | 37% |
| Porcelain veneer, per tooth | US$1,425 | US$417 to US$617 | 57% to 71% |
| Crown | US$1,560 | US$710 (zirconia) | 54% |
| Single implant | US$3,075 for the implant alone, plus the crown | US$1,358 with its zirconia crown | more than 71% |
| Invisalign | US$5,245 | US$2,439 to US$4,292 | up to 53% |
| All-on-4, per arch | US$22,590 | US$9,942 with sedation and permanent zirconia prosthesis | 56% |
In the U.S. the implant price usually covers only the implant: the abutment and the crown are charged apart. In my practice the price is the complete tooth, and the CT scan and extractions are free. See every price in my full price list.
What to count besides the treatment
- Flights and hotel. They are not included. Veneers and crowns take one trip of about a week; implants take two trips.
- Days off work. Plan the days in Bogotá that your treatment needs; the table in my price list shows them.
- Follow-up at home. It is a good idea to keep a dentist at home for your regular cleanings and check-ups.
How to choose a dentist abroad
The CDC recommends checking who will treat you, their training, and how follow-up works. These are my answers:
- Who treats you: I do, Dr. Verónica Rodríguez, with 20 years of experience and training in Oral Rehabilitation, together with my team of specialists.
- Your plan in writing before you travel: treatment, trips, days and price.
- Real cases: see before and after photos and my patients’ reviews on Google (5.0, more than 230).
- Follow-up: after you fly home we stay in touch, and you can call us at +1 (786) 756-0649.
A trend that keeps growing
- 9.6 million adults in the U.S. have traveled abroad for dental treatment, and 58% did it because care costs less outside the country, according to the national survey published by the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health in June 2026.
- 26,786 foreign patients entered Colombia for medical treatment in 2025, 18.4% more than in 2024, and between January and August 2026 the number grew another 17.6%. Bogotá is the city that receives the most (data from Migración Colombia published by ANATO).
- Colombian hospitals appear in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026, among them the Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá.
